A puller is born

To help and encourage all you budding builders of new Tractor Pullers, here is a series of articles detailing the building of a number of new Pullers, from the basic Fordson Major-based machine right through to a no-compromise BTPA Pro Stock...

If you have a build story you think would be interesting why not drop me an e-mail.

Major Disaster in the workshopThis Fordson Major-based Puller ('Major Disaster') was built by Dave Phillips down in Newport and was the first tractor to be featured. Sorry the article is short on content...
Testing 'Major Aggro' in the yardThe second build article documented the building of the quite extraordinary (and rather long) tandem Puller, 'Major Aggro' in Solihull. Phil Parker and Darren Mann were responsible for this monster.
The 'Wandering Deere' The latest build documented is 'Wandering Deere' built by Dave Williams and Steve Bailey over in Suffolk. An interesting combination of big Detroit V8 and assorted JD bits coupled with a very complex internal structure...

Hopefully a future article will tell the story of Steve Bailey's new Cummins L10-based Puller.

''One Trick Pony' pulling at Bakel 2012The story of the 'One Trick Pony' build in the heart of the Mendips. Rob Uphill has very kindly (or foolishly) agreed to tell me the story of building 'The Huntsman' replacement...

On the 27th July, 2014 Rob Uphill and 'One Trick Pony' became the Eurocup Prostock champions at the final Prostock Eurocup round of 2014 at the Brande Pulling Arena in Denmark.
