British Tractor Challenge 2006
Success... 2141 Tractors. We beat the old record by 240 tractors!
Tractor Pulling at the Challenge

One of the major attractions at The British Tractor Challenge 2006 was Tractor Pulling, however from a commentators point of view there was a tiny problem in the shape of a total lack of a Public Address system. Thanks to Dave Phillips, MD of Bassaleg Hire in Newport, Gwent we had sound! He has very kindly sponsored the cost of the PA hire for the week-end. Thanks to Dave I didn't have to shout my head off.

What was the British Tractor Challenge 2006?

This was an opportunity for you to take part in this country's BIGGEST tractor rally and get into the Guinness World Records at the same time. They welcomed all tractors, whether they be vintage, classic, or brand new. Their aim was simply to organise the biggest tractor rally this county has ever seen, have a fantastic day, to see hundreds of beautifully restored vehicles, look at rare and unique tractors never seen before in this county and make a lot of new friends at the same time.

Thanks to Gabrielle Mann from the Major Aggro Team, we now have some stunning and highly evocative images of the event to remind ourselves what it was all about. Thank you Gabby!
